APPLE
TREES
Apple
trees require at least three varieties for cross pollination. A minimum of five apple trees is recommended for best production.
CORTLAND
Disease resistant. Medium to large apple. Ripens the last week in September. Similar to the Yellow Delicious.
HONEYCRISP
The fruit is large and the skin is 50-90 percent red over yellow background.
The flesh is cream colored and exceptionally crisp and juicy with a sub-acid
flavor.
JONAGOLD
Firm, juicy, full flavored fruit, high quality fresh or when cooking. Red striped over bright yellow. Keeps well. Ripens mid-season. Needs a pollinator other than Golden Delicious.
PAULARED
Red blush color, maturing in summer. Tart flavor is good for eating, sauces or pies.
WOLF RIVER
A local favorite, originated near Wolf River, Wisconsin. Large to very large apple, pale yellow/green with red blushes and stripes. Ripens late September to early October.
CHERRY
TREES
MONTMORENCY (tart)
The best red tart cherry for home and commercial processing.
ROYAL ANN (sweet)
The only self-fertile white sweet cherry on the market. Large firm crack-resistant fruits are delicious for fresh eating or canning.
PEAR
TREE
Two pear trees are needed for pollination.
BARTLETT
The fruit is medium size with smooth yellow skin, excellent for canning and fresh use. The tree is very adaptable, vigorous, and productive. Susceptible to fire blight and requires cross pollination.
CLAPP'S FAVORITE
Ripens mid-August. Yellow skin with red blush, high quality, juicy white flesh, pick green and ripen off tree. Best crops with pollination.
