• HKCD Board of Directors meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 5:15pm, at the District office: 616 Shelden Ave Houghton, MI 49931. All meetings are open to the public. Please join us!

• HKCD 2025 Tree Sale will take place on Saturday, May 3rd from 9AM - 12PM at the Houghton County Arena (1500 Birch St, Hancock, MI 49930)

• Tree Sale pre-orders have concluded! Thanks to all who ordered already, but don’t worry if you haven’t yet, as surplus plants may be available on the day of Tree Sale. Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for updates!

• Volunteers needed for our upcoming Tree Sale!

  • Location: Houghton County Arena (1500 Birch St, Hancock, MI 49930)

    • Wednesday, April 30 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    • Thursday, May 1st from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    • Friday, May 2nd from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Lunch provided on Friday, May 1st

  • To Bring: Layered clothing you won’t mind getting dirty, gardening gloves (if desired), water bottle, and a great attitude

  • Any amount of time donated will be greatly appreciated
