American Plum (Wild)
American Plum (Wild)
American plum bareroot seedlings, 5 per bundle.
Small tree, reaching heights of 15-30 feet at maturity (but can also remain a large shrub) and long lived. Can grow on a wide range of soil types but prefers well drained/dry, medium textured soils. It can also tolerate rocky and sandy soils. Shade-intolerant and moderate growth-rate. It should be noted that this species has thorns and can form thickets (for wildlife use) or maintain a tree like structure depending on management strategies. Produces small fruits desirable by both humans and wildlife.
