Blooms in June with dark purple, highly fragrant blooms with bluish-green foliage. Grows 6-10 feet in height and 6-8 feet wide. Prefers rich, moist, neutral soils. Species is cold hardy and while it can grow in some shade, it blooms best when grown in full sun. Needs good air circulation.
